Why do you have a subscription pricing model?

We have thought a lot about what would be the right pricing model for ShapeScale. First of all, the feedback from our early supporters suggested that we should go in this direction. But most importantly, here are the main reasons behind our decision of the subscription pricing model.

#1 LOWER UPFRONT COST

Thanks to a software service model, we can offer you ShapeScale at a much lower cost and sales tax.

#2 HQ CLOUD PROCESSING

ShapeScale processes and stores all your Shape Scans on our secure cloud servers to guarantee fast load time and high-quality, photorealistic scans. This is very graphic intensive and so we can’t do this inexpensively through the ShapeScale unit itself or via your smartphone. This would take too long and the quality would be reduced.

#3 SOFTWARE UPDATES

Developing software is a long-term R&D undergoing. Our pledge is to continue supporting you with new features and security patches.

#4 FREE OPTION AFTER YEAR 1

You will have a chance to downgrade to a free plan which allows for continuous use and storing of a single scan. You’ll be able to view your current measures and use your ShapeScan for non-health apps such as virtual fitting rooms, tailor-made clothing, 3D printing, VR and more.

#5 RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

Your subscription will also help pay for research & development and security maintenance, this is extremely important to us at Shape. We want to bring you new features every single year.
